Inner Timing and Secret Mission
John 7:3-9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read John 7 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jesus' brothers urge him to depart publicly and reveal his works, but he maintains that his time and method are governed by an inner truth, while the world resists the testimony that springs from that inner state.
Neville's Inner Vision
From the Neville Goddard doorway: the scene is not about distance but inner states. The brethren urge him to go to Judaea to be seen; the impulse to be known openly is an impulse of the outer world. Yet the I AM within Jesus knows that time is an inner law, not a schedule of others. Your 'time' has nothing to do with their calendar. When you declare, 'My time is not yet come,' you guard your inner revelation until your consciousness has fully felt the truth as fact. The world may hate or resist that testimony because it threatens the old beliefs; but your function is not to win their favor by public display, but to keep faith with the inner light that creates the scene. The secrecy is not denial but the discipline of perception, allowing your imagination to perfect the state before it is manifested. So, your feast comes when you have embodied the certainty that makes the outward event unnecessary to prove.
Practice This Now
Assume the inner state: the time is now; revise the scene in your mind until you feel it real. See yourself unhurried, yet fully present at the feast of life, guided by the I AM.
