One Inner Work, Marvels Within

John 7:21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 7 in context

Scripture Focus

21Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel.
John 7:21

Biblical Context

Jesus declares he has done one work and that people marvel; the plain sense is that the exterior marvels reflect an inner act of consciousness rather than many outward miracles.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the innermost I AM, there is but one act of creation: the steadfast recognition that you are already the aware and imagining self. When Jesus says he has done one work, Neville reads it not as a catalog of deeds but as the admission that the entire drama of miracles begins and ends in consciousness. The marvel of others is the mind's reaction to appearances; the true work is done when I align with the idea that I AM—the ceaseless, tranquil awareness—has completed what was required. The outer events cannot precede the inner acknowledgment; the story on the surface is but a carnival reflecting the inner conviction that all achievement is already accomplished within. Therefore, cultivate the state that says, 'I have done it'—even before signs appear. As you dwell in the awareness that you are the creator, you will see the external world rearrange to match that inner conviction.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe, and affirm: I have done one work. Feel the completed consciousness and imagine the next moment rearranging to reflect that certainty.
