Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jesus declares that he lives by the Father, and those who eat him will live by him. The bread from heaven gives eternal life, unlike manna that merely sustained physical bodies.
Neville's Inner Vision
Verse 57 and 58 whisper that the Father’s life is the living pattern for your own. To hear 'I live by the Father' is to awaken that you, too, are sent from the Source and sustained by a Presence within. To 'eat' Jesus is to invite the Christ into your imaginative center, to treat his life as your nourishment until it governs every belief and feeling. The bread that came down from heaven is not a historical meal but a living idea implanted in consciousness—the unbroken awareness that life is not produced by external things but radiates from the I AM within. When you partake, you are not seeking something apart from you; you are aligning with the very act of being. This does not threaten your ordinary self; it reveals it as the outward image of an inward reality. Those who feed on this bread discover that the old manna—the belief that life depends on the world—cannot sustain the sense of being; instead, they live by the Christ-life, which is eternal, now. The eternal life is thus not a future event but a present state of awareness consecrated to the Father.
Practice This Now
In stillness, declare: I am the living Father within me; I eat the bread of life and I live by it. Feel the divine life warming and sustaining every part of you, here and now.
