Inner Nourishment: Flesh and Blood

John 6:53-56 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 6 in context

Scripture Focus

53Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
54Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
55For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
John 6:53-56

Biblical Context

Jesus declares that life comes by partaking of the flesh and blood of the Son of Man; those who do so have eternal life and dwell in him, and he in them.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, these words are not about a meal but a state of life. Flesh and blood symbolize the inner feed, what you think and feel until it becomes your body's truth. To eat the flesh of the Son of Man is to decide that life arises from the I AM within, not from outward appearances. To drink his blood is to drink the steady stream of awareness that sustains you. Dwelling in me and I in him is the recognition that you and your divine image are two expressions of the same I AM. The promise of eternal life and the last day resurrection is the present moment shift: as you revise your self-image to this truth, you rise now. It is not a distant event but a change in consciousness that rearranges your world. Trust this inner law: your life follows your state of knowing.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit, close your eyes, and affirm, 'I am nourished by the life of the I AM within.' Then visualize a warm light feeding your chest and a sense of self dissolving into that light, until you feel full of life here and now.
