Inner Accuser and the I Am Presence

John 5:45 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 5 in context

Scripture Focus

45Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.
John 5:45

Biblical Context

Jesus says He will not accuse you to the Father; the true accuser is the inner Moses—the habit of trusting the external law. Your true standing is in the I AM within, not in outward judgments.

Neville's Inner Vision

This verse is not about a distant courtroom; it is stating the state of your own consciousness. Moses, the accuser, represents the portion of you that trusts the letter of the law and looks outward for guilt and reward. The Father is not judgment; the Father is the I AM that you are aware of. When you identify with the I AM—the Presence within—you dissolve the charge of Moses. The 'accuser' arises only as you cling to outer proofs and to what you have believed condemns you. To awaken, assume the truth you seek: you are already in the Father’s presence, you are the I AM, and the Law’s claims have no power over you. As you persist in this revision, the sense of separation fades and alignment returns; you then move from fear of judgment to living as the living Presence. Your accountability becomes fidelity to the inner I AM rather than adherence to an external code.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the state of I AM, the Presence within. As you breathe, revise the belief in Moses as accuser by affirming, 'I am the Presence; there is no judge but the I AM.'
