John 5:26-27 speaks with clustering insistence: the Father has life in Himself, and the Son likewise has life in Himself, with authority to judge because he is the Son of Man. In Neville’s language, this is not about distant persons but about your inner life. Life is not a possession but an I AM energy that you either identify with or deny. The Father’s life is your own life when you acknowledge that you are the I AM; the Son’s self-generating life is your ongoing awareness, a you that does not depend on outer conditions. The authority to execute judgment is your capacity to observe inner states, revise them by imagination, and thus determine which thoughts govern you. When you understand the Son of Man as your fully conscious self, you reclaim sovereignty—present, now, independent of circumstance. The Presence of God is the constant I AM within; every moment is a choice to align with that life, letting the inner light shape outer events rather than chasing them. By dwelling in this truth, you become the living example of what the verse promises.
