Inner Life Shift

John 5:24 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 5 in context

Scripture Focus

24Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
John 5:24

Biblical Context

John 5:24 teaches that hearing Jesus' word and believing in the Father grants everlasting life now and keeps one from condemnation; one moves from death to life.

Neville's Inner Vision

To hear my word is to hear the inner voice of the I AM, the Sender of all life within you. Believing on him that sent me is not assent to an old doctrine but alignment of your consciousness with the source of life. Everlasting life is the present state of awareness, not a distant reward; you are already standing in the kingdom, now. Condemnation appears only when you identify with fear, lack, or separation. When you trust the inner Father, you pass from death unto life, the old sense of death dissolving into a vivid realization of being alive in God. Your thoughts, feelings, and choices then reflect this eternal life. Practice this by returning to a single idea: I am the I AM; the word I hear and the belief I hold are the reality I live. Repeat until it feels true, and observe the outer world rearrange to match your inner state.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and silently declare, 'I hear his word and believe the Father who sent me; I have everlasting life now, and I am moved from death to life.' Then feel the truth as a vivid presence in your chest.
