Biblical Context
Jesus stays with the Samaritans and many believe because of his word. They affirm that they now believe not from the woman’s testimony but from hearing him themselves, recognizing him as the Christ, the Savior of the world.
Neville's Inner Vision
Here the outer scene discloses your inner readiness to receive. The Samaritans come to him and ask him to tarry, and he abides; this is not geography but inner presence—when you refuse to hurry your awareness, the 'two days' symbolize a slowing down in consciousness long enough for the word within to speak. 'Many more believed because of his own word' becomes your inner conviction: belief arises not from second-hand testimony, but from hearing the Christ within speak through your own awareness. The woman’s testimony is valid only as a doorway; the true faith is born when you hear Christ directly, and thus know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world. In this light, 'the world' becomes your own world-consciousness—when the I AM acknowledges itself as the Saviour, every part of you rests in that presence. The seeming multiplicity of voices yields to one indwelling Word: the living Jesus as your present awareness. The kingdom is not coming; it is being heard in you, now, as you attend to the inner word.
Practice This Now
Assume the inner word now: hear Christ directly within and let that sound displace every borrowed plan. Sit in quiet for two minutes and feel the truth of 'I am' as the Savior present in you.
