Inner Ascension Within You

John 3:13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 3 in context

Scripture Focus

13And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
John 3:13

Biblical Context

The verse declares that ascent to heaven is an inner state, not an outer journey. The Son of Man who is in heaven represents the inner presence of God within you.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within this line, you are reminded that ascent to heaven is not sought in temples, doctrines, or outward feats, but discovered as a verily-present state of awareness. The 'Son of Man which is in heaven' is your I AM, the very center of consciousness that never leaves its heavenly throne even as you move through daily appearances. When you say 'no man hath ascended up to heaven,' you are told to stop chasing skyward signs and instead to turn inward, acknowledging that the one who came down from heaven lives within you now. The descent from heaven is not a fall but the immersion of God into form so you may know yourself as the Word made flesh. Your true identity is the living, breathing presence that remains in heaven while you walk the earth, redeeming every moment by conscious awareness. So salvation is not a distant event but a revision of who you take yourself to be, from a body-bound personality to the I AM that dwells in and as you.

Practice This Now

Assume the inner I AM is already ascended, and revise your sense of self to that heavenly identity until you feel it as real in the body.
