Inner Ascension, Heavenly Truth

John 3:12-13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 3 in context

Scripture Focus

12If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
13And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
John 3:12-13

Biblical Context

Jesus contrasts earthly teachings with heavenly realities, showing that belief in the latter depends on an inner shift. True ascent comes from within, where the Son of Man already dwells.

Neville's Inner Vision

Observe how the Master does not bid you scale outer heights; he invites you to shift your state of consciousness. When you hear earthly truths yet refuse to believe them, you are choosing the surface, not the deeper reality. Heaven is not a distant place; it is the awareness in which you live, here and now. The Son of Man who is in heaven is the I AM you already are, the consciousness that remains when the picture of your life is seen through inner truth. The earthly things are the beliefs, habits, and fears you presently accept; heavenly things are the inner conviction that a different state is real because you have imagined it and thus made it so. No one ascends from below; you ascend by aligning with the inner truth until your outer world reflects it. The key is not proof but imagination, not time but conviction. Believe that what you seek exists now as your present possibility, and your belief itself will carry you there.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the heavenly truth is already true in your consciousness, whispering 'I am the I AM.' Feel the sensation of that realization until belief takes root and your outer sense of self shifts.
