Thomas's Doubt and Inner Faith
John 20:24-25 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Thomas, not present when Jesus appeared, demands physical proof; the others report the risen Lord, but Thomas insists on touching the wounds to believe.
Neville's Inner Vision
Thomas's demand for proof mirrors a state of consciousness clinging to external verification. In this reading, the resurrection is an inner event, not a historical fact to be proven by touch. Jesus here represents the I AM within you—the awareness that creates reality by its attention. When the others say, 'We have seen the LORD,' they describe an inner shift, a trust that comes from turning toward Presence rather than chasing senses. Thomas embodies the impulse that wants physical proof, yet what seems external is only a symbol of beliefs crucified by awareness itself. The so-called proof you crave is already within: a quiet sense that you are seen, a felt reality of life as God’s presence in you. So revise your stance: believe now by assuming the Presence. Imprint in imagination, 'I am with the Lord within, and I am living a new life from this I AM.' In such inner recognition, resurrection occurs here and now, as your consciousness awakens to its own divine source.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes, breathe, and assume the I AM as your present awareness. Repeat and feel, 'I am with the Lord within, and this inner Presence revives my life now.'
