The Empty Tomb Awakens
John 20:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Mary Magdalene finds the tomb empty and reports to Peter and the beloved disciple that the Lord has been taken away, leaving their minds unsettled about his whereabouts.
Neville's Inner Vision
Mary Magdalene’s visit is a symbol, not a history lesson. The tomb embodies a state of consciousness in which you imagined death and lack, and the stone rolled away is the moment your awareness breaks free. When she reports that the LORD has been taken away and you do not know where he is, she speaks your own doubt transformed into curiosity; but the next moment shows that the LORD is not missing from anywhere but embedded in your own I AM. The resurrection, then, is not future arrival but present realization—recognizing the living presence within as the truth of being. The two listeners, Peter and the other disciple, represent your split-minded faculties waking to unity; you need not chase an external answer, for the Christ within is always there, waiting to be acknowledged. Let the empty tomb remind you that consciousness is the seat of life, and that your now is the moment of revival. Trust this inward scene as your actual state, and you will see the outer come into harmony with the inner.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare 'I AM' the Lord of this life. Then imagine the tomb of your old beliefs opening, the stone rolled away, and behold the presence within as your revived state.
