Read John 2 in context

Scripture Focus

22When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
John 2:22

Biblical Context

After Jesus is raised, his followers recall his sayings and come to believe both the scripture and his words.

Neville's Inner Vision

John 2:22 teaches that the moment the inner man awakens—in the rising of consciousness—the memory of the inner word returns and belief follows. The disciples are not a crowd outside you; they are the distinct states of your mind waking to a truth that has always been yours. The resurrection is an inner revival, a shift in awareness, not a future event. The scripture and the word Jesus had said are one and the same inner law you accept as true now. When the inner truth arises, you remember and align with it; belief then becomes the natural fruit of having allowed that decree to stand as fact in your imagination. Thus faith is not earned from without but blossoms from an awakened self that recognizes its own I AM reflected in every line of the inner scripture.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and revise: 'I am risen from the dead within; I believe the truth of the scripture now.' Feel that inner decree as a living certainty, and let it settle into your body as fact.
