John 2:19-21

Biblical Context

John 2:19-21 presents the temple as the body, not a physical structure. The passage points to inner renewal, a transformation of consciousness, rather than outward buildings.

Neville's Inner Vision

Jesus says the temple will be destroyed and raised in three days, but John clarifies he spoke of the temple of his body. In Neville's reading, the temple is always your current state of consciousness; destruction means releasing old identities and fears that pretend life resides outside your I AM. The three days illustrate a finite inner movement, a rhythm by which attention shifts from externals to the Presence within. The 'raising' is not an event in space but the awakening of awareness to the truth that God, the I AM, dwells in you as life and wholeness. When you accept the body as symbol for your state of consciousness, resurrection occurs as an immediate shift from fear to the reaffirmation of oneness with Life. The temple invites trust and faith; true faith is living reliance on your inner divine power to renew itself now.

Practice This Now

Assume the temple of your body is already raised. Sit quietly and feel the I AM within you, imagining your cells renewing in light.
