Biblical Context
John 2:1-17 centers on a Cana wedding where Jesus turns water into wine and then clears the temple, signaling a movement from ordinary purification to holy zeal. It invites us to see these events as inner states becoming visible as intention, obedience, and integrity in our own lives.
Neville's Inner Vision
Picture this scene as your inner life. The Cana wedding is the inner marriage of awareness with its own transcendent joy. The six waterpots are states of purification you keep ready for action; fill them with water by your unwavering assumption. When Jesus says, 'Fill the waterpots with water,' he is your higher self commanding you to insert the imaginative act. You pour belief into those vessels until they brim; then 'Draw out now' and present your supplication to the governor of the feast—the manifested world—whose praise is the sign that your inner state has become seen as fact. The 'hour' not yet come is your readiness to yield to the perfect timing of your I AM. The mother's word, 'Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it,' is your subconscious obedience to the divine idea. The temple cleansing follows as a second stage: you exorcise the old forms of lack, money-changer thoughts, and doubt, and declare your Father’s house a sanctuary of truth. You will see that glory manifests when belief and action align, and your disciples—your own assurances—believe.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and picture a Cana wedding within your mind. Say 'I am abundant now' as you fill the six jars with water, feel the wine appearing, and watch the governor acknowledge your inner yes as your outer reality.
