Behold the Inner Man
John 19:4-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Pilate publicly asserts no fault in Jesus, while the crowd presses for crucifixion; the inner takeaway is that outer judgments do not alter the inner innocence of the Christ within.
Neville's Inner Vision
Pilate’s outward proclamation—‘I find no fault in him’—is the moment your awareness faces its own reflection. The crown of thorns and purple robe symbolize worn-out beliefs your attention clothes with importance, yet they do not change the truth that your inner man is faultless. When the crowd cries, 'Crucify him,' hear the inner voice of separation testing your faith; this is the old state insisting on stories about sin and guilt. The clause 'We have a law' mirrors the regularly repeated rule of limitation that tries to govern you. Yet the I AM, the witness of truth, remains untouched. Your practice, then, is to align with the watching I AM, to behold the man within and affirm that no outer verdict can alter your essential nature. By renewing the inner conviction that the inner Christ is present and faultless, you shift the basis of perception, and the world adjusts to your inner alignment—without fighting the world, you revise it by reigniting the consciousness that you are the man.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In the next moment, assume the I AM as the inner man. Silently say, 'I AM faultless' and picture Pilate presenting you to your attention as the 'man' you are; feel the innocence saturate your chest until it becomes your habitual state.
