Truth Inside Pilate’s Question

John 18:38 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 18 in context

Scripture Focus

38Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.
John 18:38

Biblical Context

Pilate asks, 'What is truth?' and then declares Jesus has no fault; the passage points to truth as an inner state rather than an outer verdict.

Neville's Inner Vision

Truth, in the Neville sense, is an inner state you inhabit, not a verdict handed to you by the world. Pilate’s question signals the rent between appearance and the I AM that knows nothing but fullness. To the awakened imagination, 'I find in him no fault at all' becomes a covenant you speak about yourself: in the inner world, the self that remains innocent and unblameworthy cannot condemn itself. When you live from the assumption of total integrity, you see that surrounding events respond to your inner valuation. The man outside (the judge) is merely a projection of your own former judgments; revision of those judgments by a single creative act—'I am whole, I am innocent'—permits the outer scene to reflect that truth. Your awareness is the truth; your senses confirm only what your inner state projects. So, the 'truth' you seek is the I AM within, and the set of feelings that insist, 'I am faultless,' dissolves the appearance of fault in your life.

Practice This Now

Practice: Sit quietly, assume the I AM. Repeat softly, 'I find in myself no fault at all,' feeling the relief and steadiness as if the inner judge has declared your innocence, and let that feeling reshape your outward scene.
