Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse states that believers share the same mission as Jesus—being sent into the world. It also says they are sanctified through truth as they align their inner self with that truth.
Neville's Inner Vision
The story of John 17:18–19 in Neville's key is an inward commission. The 'thou' and 'world' are not distant places but states of consciousness. When Jesus says I have sent them into the world, he is declaring that your inner I AM already projects itself into outward life as purpose. The sanctification of self is not a rite performed by another; it is a continuous revision of your imagination to align with the truth of your being. The truth becomes a living power in your mind, converting doubt into faith, limitation into possibility, and fear into courageous action. As you feel this truth, you realize you carry the same mission as the Master, to demonstrate divine nature in ordinary moments so others may be sanctified by seeing truth manifested. The act is to assume the end: you are already sent and already sanctified by truth. From that state, your thoughts and choices will naturally echo and reveal your inner sanctification in outer events.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes and feel the I AM sending you into your daily world; revise your self concept to the truth that you are already sanctified and on mission. Practice today by acting from that state and watch reality adjust to your inner conviction.
