John 16:22 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 16 in context

Scripture Focus

22And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
John 16:22

Biblical Context

Sorrow is present now. The promise is a future reunion that will restore your heart with enduring joy.

Neville's Inner Vision

Remember, the verse speaks not of outer events, but of your inner state. Sorrow arises when you identify with separation from the I AM; yet the Master’s promise 'I will see you again' is the revival of that essential awareness within. Your heart's rejoicing follows not from changing scenery but from waking to the truth that God and you are one. The joy spoken of—'your joy no man taketh from you'—is the invincible gift of consciousness; it cannot be confiscated by circumstance any more than light can be stolen from a room that remains lit by the sun within. So revise sorrow as a memory of a dream, and assume the feeling of reunion here and now. Imagination is the creator of your reality; therefore dwell in the state of being seen by the I AM, let the memory of the reunion flood your sense of self, and let that joy saturate your days. When you live from that awareness, the outer scene will align with your inner certainty without effort.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and repeat 'I AM' until your mind rests in God. Then imagine the moment of reunion and let your heart rise in joy as if it were already present.
