Righteousness Through the Inner Father
John 16:10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Righteousness comes from Jesus going to the Father, and therefore the outward presence of Jesus is no longer seen.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider that 'righteousness' is not a code of moral rules handed down by an external judge, but a state of consciousness you enter when you acknowledge the I AM within. When Jesus says 'because I go to my Father,' he points to the ultimate act of self-consciousness: the union with the Father within. The world sees Jesus in the flesh; you see him no more in the sense of an outward personality because the living presence shifts from an object to the subject—the 'I' that chooses, imagines, and believes. Your attention must turn from externals to the inner temple where Father and Son are one. Righteousness, then, is the inner alignment that results when you assume you are the Father’s yes in your own being; it is not earned by doings, but recognized by the felt unity of your consciousness with the divine I AM. By accepting this, the sense of separation dissolves, and you become aware of the Christ within as your standard of right.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the inner state: 'I am righteousness, and I am in the Father.' Feel the support of the Father as if he is your own breath.
