Inner Light Reveals Sin

John 15:22-24 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 15 in context

Scripture Focus

22If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin.
23He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
24If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
John 15:22-24

Biblical Context

The verses say that without Jesus speaking, sin would be unseen; now sin is exposed as the inner resistance of consciousness, and hatred toward the speaker reveals a larger resistance to the divine.

Neville's Inner Vision

Imagine the coming and speaking as your inner teacher, the I AM, addressing you. When you resist that voice, sin appears as a state of ignorance and separation masquerading as others' fault. The cloak falls away only as you recognize the unity of self and Father, the one I AM animating both. The so-called works others see reveal nothing about you unless you face your own inner movements. Fear, accusation, or pride are signals that light has not yet ruled; they are invitations to revise your inner state. Through imagination and the feeling of it real, you can align with the truth that you are one with the Father, and thus release judgment, hatred, and separation. This inward witnessing returns you to the present I AM, where all acts and words are seen as expressions of your own divine state.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, assume I AM as your central being, and revise a current judgment by declaring I and the Father are one. Feel the light renewing your inner state until peace and love replace the old charge.
