No Cloak for Sin Within

John 15:22-23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 15 in context

Scripture Focus

22If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin.
23He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
John 15:22-23

Biblical Context

Jesus states that his coming and words expose sin; those who reject him reveal their alignment with a false self, and hating him is ultimately a rejection of the Father within.

Neville's Inner Vision

John 15:22-23, seen through the I AM, becomes a map of consciousness. Christ’s coming to speak is the light of awareness entering the mind, dissolving the cloak of ignorance and revealing sin as a belief you’ve given power to. To hate the messenger is to resist the inner Father, the I AM that animates you. Sin is not an external act but a misalignment of feeling and thought with the truth you assume about life. When you accept the Word within, you cease viewing yourself as a victim and begin recognizing yourself as the author of experience. The Father is not distant; He is the consciousness you are willing to inhabit. The moment you let the Christ govern your inner weather, judgments and fears lose their hold. Rejection signals a turn toward the inner ruler of your being, the truth of who you are, not away from it. This is a call to inner repentance: align with the I AM and behold truth in place of fear.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the I AM is speaking within you. Revise a current fear by repeating, 'I am the truth within; I now replace this fear with the awareness of the Father in me,' and feel the change as real.
