Not Of This World
John 15:18-21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
These verses announce that following Jesus may invite hatred and persecution from the world; you are not of the world, having been chosen out of it, so hostility from others arises as a signal of your inner separation. Their hatred points to an inner shift you are in the process of completing.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your true self, the I AM, has been chosen out of the world; the world’s hatred is not a verdict against you but a signal that the old mind clings to its familiar idols. When Jesus says the servant is not greater than the Lord, it invites you to stand in the inner authority rather than chase outward approval. Persecution arises from the remnants of fear within, not from a hostile God; as you assume the inner reality that you are the I AM, you reinterpret every outer event as the outer world resisting your risen consciousness. The line they know not Him that sent me means your neighbors and circumstances do not perceive God because God dwells in your inward state. Do not fight on the plane of appearance; revise the story until your heart feels the truth that you belong to the inner kingdom. The moment you dwell as one not of this world, the sting of hostility softens and its meaning becomes confirmation of your inner freedom.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, assume right now that you are not of the world and that you have been chosen out of it. Feel the inner peace of the I AM and revise any outward opposition as the world testing your consciousness into greater faith.
