Inner Identity Beyond The World

John 15:18-19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 15 in context

Scripture Focus

18If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
19If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
John 15:18-19

Biblical Context

The world will hate you because it hated Jesus first. You have been chosen out of the world, so you are not of it.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, the warning is not a curse but a map to your inner state. When the world hates you, know that the world is reacting to the inner truth you now bear—the I AM that Jesus embodies in you, which has chosen you out of the world. If you still yearn for worldly approval, you are identifying with a pretend self and you will feel the world’s favor; yet you will also feel emptiness. Your true identity is the consciousness that is not of this age; it is the I AM in you, the eternal observer who can never be fully swayed by outer praise or blame. Therefore, welcome the hostility as confirmation that you are waking from the dream of belonging to the world. Stand firm in the revision: I am not of the world; I am the I AM in this body, and the world’s reactions cannot define me. Your work, holiness, faith, and obedience are practiced within consciousness, not by chasing worldly approval. Allow the inward state to shape the outward scene.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Assume the inner state: I am not of this world. In a quiet moment, feel the I AM within you; visualize others reacting with fear or distance, then affirm that their response confirms your chosen reality.
