Biblical Context

John 15:15 marks a shift from servant to friend. Jesus reveals the Father’s plans to you.

Neville's Inner Vision

Suppose you are reading this not as a history but as a description of your own inner state. The I AM within you is the Father, and the word friend is simply the level of awareness by which you now listen to the divine plans. When Jesus says, I have called you friends, he is telling you that you are no longer a servant ignorant of what the lord does; you are the inner son, whose hearing is the Father's hearing. All things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you means that the inner voice, the still small whisper in your consciousness, discloses the motive and plan of your life. Therefore your task is not to fetch results but to align your imagination with that disclosed state. The world you see is the imagery of your inner state; the Father's plans are your own imaginings becoming real. Trust that your present awareness, your I AM, already knows what must be done. You are invited into the circle of knowing, not performing in ignorance.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and assume you are already the friend who knows the Father’s will; for 5 minutes, listen inside and feel the response as if the Father is speaking to you.
