Foretelling Faith in Action

John 14:29 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 14 in context

Scripture Focus

29And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
John 14:29

Biblical Context

Jesus tells his disciples that he has spoken ahead of time. The purpose is that they may believe when the event comes to pass.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your inner self—the I AM—is the speaker here. When John says 'before it comes to pass,' he invites you to recognize that the future appears as your present state of consciousness. The foretelling is not a forecast over others but a reminder that belief is born in imagination. To make it real, assume the fulfilled state now and feel it as already true. Hold the end in your mind until it becomes your habitual awareness, and watch the outer world align as a testimony to that inner conviction. Do not chase events; train your inner sight to dwell in the imagined end, and time will yield to your inner certainty. This verse is a mercy that teaches that the world outwardly reflects the state you hold inwardly. If you persist in the assumed reality, you will find that people and circumstances 'come to pass' in harmony with your inner belief.

Practice This Now

Practice: before sleep, pick a target outcome and imagine it is already done, then feel the joy and certainty of that fact. If doubt arises, revise the imagined end and rest in the feeling that it is done.
