Read John 14 in context

Scripture Focus

17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
John 14:17

Biblical Context

The Spirit of truth is an inner Presence that the world cannot perceive. You know Him because He dwells with you now and shall be in you.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the Spirit of truth not as a separate visitor but as the very consciousness you already are. The world cannot receive Him because it looks only to outward sight; it does not recognize the I AM that is the life of all. Yet you can know Him because He dwells with you, within your present awareness, and He shall be in you as your up-leaping, intimate Presence. When you acknowledge Him as the I within you, you align with truth rather than circumstance. Faith is not belief in a distant ether; it is trust in the ruler that you are, the constant I AM that never leaves you. The world's noise fades as you turn attention inward and awaken to the Spirit's breathing within. Your feelings become the condition through which truth enters your life; reception is an inner state, not an outer event. In practice, assume you are now in the company of the Spirit, and claim that He is dwelling in you, guiding every decision and shaping every perception.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and revise your sense of self to 'I am the Spirit of truth dwelling in me now.' Then feel the Presence guiding your next moment.
