The Inner Comforter Within
John 14:16-17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jesus promises the Father will send another Comforter to dwell with you forever; the Spirit of Truth will be with you and in you. The world cannot receive him, but you know him because he dwells with you.
Neville's Inner Vision
Prayer is not asking from without, but re-entering the inner state of I AM where the Spirit of Truth resides. The Comforter is the immanent Christ within; not a distant guest but the living awareness that never leaves you. The Father does not send a stranger from without; He completes your consciousness by awakening you to what you already are: the Spirit that dwells with you and shall be in you. The world cannot receive this Spirit because it seeks only through senses and separation; you, however, know Him because you are the I AM that knows. When you entertain the assumption of the Comforter as your constant companion, you align with the truth that your inner state creates your outward life. The 'you' who prays is the same 'you' who is answered; your awareness expands to hold both Presence and Power. Let this inner presence become your habitual felt reality, and the outer conditions will correspond to this truth.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the feeling of the Comforter already with you; rest in the I AM presence and let that inner Spirit guide your next thoughts.
