Oneness Through Inner Presence

John 14:10-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 14 in context

Scripture Focus

10Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
John 14:10-11

Biblical Context

Jesus says he dwells in the Father and the Father dwells in him. His words come from that inner indwelling, and the works prove the unity.

Neville's Inner Vision

Seen through Neville Goddard’s lens, these lines point not to geography but to your inner state. 'I am in the Father, and the Father in me' becomes 'I am in the I AM, and the I AM is in me'—a statement that the divine presence lives as your own awareness. The Father within you is the activity of God in consciousness; the I AM is the living fact you can rely on. When Jesus says the words he speaks are not of himself but of the Father within, he teaches that your speaking and your doing flow from that inner dwelling. The 'works' are the outward demonstrations of a mind that has allowed this unity to occupy it. If you hold to this unity—believing the I AM within you is working, not you alone—your thoughts, feelings, and choices align with that inner will, and life begins to rearrange to reflect it. The invitation is simple: trust the inner oneness and let your imagination act as the medium through which the Father’s works are made visible.

Practice This Now

Assume the state: I am in the Father, and the Father is in me; feel the I AM as the living presence guiding every thought today. Then revise any doubt by affirming, 'The Father within me does the works.'
