I Am He: The Beforehand Word

John 13:19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 13 in context

Scripture Focus

19Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he.
John 13:19

Biblical Context

Jesus speaks ahead of the event to ensure the disciples, and readers, may believe his identity when what he foretold comes to pass.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, the word spoken before the event is not information about an outer drama, but a declaration of your inner state. The disciples are your states of consciousness, listening for a truth you already assume. When he says 'before it comes,' the speaker—your I AM—teaches you to refuse the trance of lack by giving you the end now. The moment you accept that you are the I AM, the external scene aligns to confirm it; belief is not belief in a person, but belief in the truth of your identity as I AM. Thus the prophecy becomes a finished inner fact, and the 'he' you recognize is the you who is always present. This is the practical application of Presence: dwell in the feeling of being the I AM, and allow the coming event to reveal that your life is governed by that consciousness, not by circumstance. So the inner witness acts first, and the outer witness follows, proof that God and man are one within.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and declare, 'I AM the I AM now.' Feel this identity as a living presence in your chest and hands, and let it lead your next moment.
