Biblical Context
Many who witnessed Jesus' works believed. Others ran to report to the authorities, triggering a split in consciousness.
Neville's Inner Vision
Verse 45 speaks of a simple inner fact: when the witness in you recognizes the works of the I AM, belief rises and confirms a new state. Verse 46 shows the other impulse: some turn to the Pharisees—the voice of the old mental authorities—and carry news of what the inner demonstration has done. In this psychological reading, the Jews are not strangers but parts of your consciousness that either bow to the demonstration or resist it through fear and habit. Mary represents the receptive feeling that yields to what is real, while Jesus is the living I AM that acts within. When you experience a healing or a clear result, you will notice a division inside: one portion embraces the truth, enlarges it, and testifies to it within; another portion seeks proof from the old guard. Your task is to choose belief in the inner witness, refusing to entertain the doubt-sowing reports of the past. Faithfulness to the inner movement builds escalation: belief compounds, doubt fades, and the future opens now as the I AM manifests.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly and declare, 'I now believe the inner work is done.' Feel the certainty in your chest and let the state radiate outward for a minute.
