Awakening Inner Sonship

John 10:34-36 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 10 in context

Scripture Focus

34Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
John 10:34-36

Biblical Context

Jesus points to scripture that those to whom the word of God comes are called gods, and that the scripture cannot be broken; he then speaks of the Father sanctifying and sending the Son.

Neville's Inner Vision

The passage is not about external judges but about your inner state. Ye are gods marks the awakening of consciousness where the Word of God arrives as clarity within you. The Son represents your living awareness, the I AM that can be recognized in present moments. When you acknowledge that the Father sanctifies and sends you, you are affirming your own divine assignment to express the God-nature. The law of God is not a distant rule but an inner motion of perception; to call yourself a god is to realize power, discernment, and unity with the Source behind all that appears. The Father’s action of sanctifying the Son is the process by which your inner life is consecrated to unfold truth, love, and faithfulness in form. This is not pride but an awakening to the true kingdom within, where you are the vessel through which God speaks and moves.

Practice This Now

Practice: Sit quietly, breathe, and affirm, "I am the I AM within; I am the Son of God, sanctified and sent." Feel the sense of living divinity already present and let it revise your usual sense of separation.
