Inner Witness and Sheep Identity

John 10:25-26 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 10 in context

Scripture Focus

25Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.
26But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
John 10:25-26

Biblical Context

Jesus says His works bear witness to who He is, but the people don't believe because they are not of His sheep.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the light of Neville's teaching, the words reveal that the 'I' who listens is the one who witnesses by inner works. The crowd claims sight and evidence in the outer, yet belief arises only when you identify with the sheep-state—the consciousness that trusts the Father’s name and lives as the I AM. The works Jesus performs are not past events but inner movements of awareness expressing as your life. If you do not believe, check your identification; you are not conscious of that sheep-state that knows itself in the Father’s name. When you assume that you are the one who bears witness, these works unfold in your experience as confirmation of your true identity. The Father’s name becomes your operating principle; the world’s doubts dissolve as you retain a steady sense of I AM, and belief follows as natural fruit rather than effort.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume, right now, that you are the sheep and that you hear the Father’s name in you; feel it real and let the inner works testify in your life.
