Inner Witness of Christ Within

John 10:24-25 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 10 in context

Scripture Focus

24Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.
25Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.
John 10:24-25

Biblical Context

The Jews demand a plain declaration from Jesus about being the Christ. He answers that his works testify in the Father’s name, but they do not believe.

Neville's Inner Vision

Whom do they seek to see? Not the man, but a certainty in their own mind. Jesus speaks of the witness within: the Christ is not a rumor marching through the streets but the state of consciousness you awaken when you stop seeking from without and listen to the silence that bears witness in you. The works he does in his Father’s name are the fruits of an inner alignment—the demonstrations of a man who dwells in the I AM. The Jews ask for external proof, a plain declaration; yet the plain declaration is inside your own heart. To believe is to release the hold of doubt, to consent to the truth that you are already the Son of God in form. If you persist in disbelief, no outward sign will satisfy you; if you assume the conclusion, your inner postulates will appear as events framed by your awareness. The verse invites you to shift from striving for evidence to assuming the reality you seek, and to let the witness inside confirm your identification with the divine.

Practice This Now

Practice: In a quiet moment, assume the truth: 'I am the Christ, the I AM.' Feel the inner witness rise, and let your belief reshape what you perceive as your ordinary life.
