Inner True Light Within

John 1:9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 1 in context

Scripture Focus

9That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
John 1:9

Biblical Context

John 1:9 declares that the true Light is the universal illumination of every person who comes into the world. This Light is not external but present in each heart as the very light of awareness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed through the interior lens, the true Light is not a distant doctrine but the living I AM that you are aware of in this moment. It is the assumption you can cultivate: light-aware consciousness that shines through every person you meet. When you say, 'That Light lights every man,' you are affirming that no soul is exempt from the presence of God within. Your world responds to the movement of your inner state; therefore, shift your state and the world shifts to reflect it. The Light does not come and go depending on circumstances; it is the constant clarity of awareness behind appearances. If you fear darkness, revise with the conviction that you are already radiant, and every scene is only a veil, awaiting your recognition. In this way truth and faithfulness merge: you attend to the inner light, and so the outer scene bears witness to your inner certainty.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and quietly assume, 'I am the Light that lights every man.' Feel the illumination expanding from your chest, saturating your body and then your space, until doubt dissolves into certainty.
