The Word Within: Inner Creation

John 1:3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 1 in context

Scripture Focus

3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
John 1:3

Biblical Context

John 1:3 states that all things were made through the Word, and nothing exists apart from that Word. In Neville's terms, the Word is the living I AM within your consciousness, and what you assume inwardly becomes your outward world.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the verse as a map of your inner economy: all form arises from the Word, the creative activity of awareness itself. The Word is not separate power but your own I AM, the seen and unseen energy by which you shape your life. To say 'all things were made by him' is to acknowledge that nothing in your experience exists outside the movement of your inner state. When you stand in assertion—feeling the wish as already true, living from the end as if it were now—you align with the Word and the form follows in order and harmony. The outer world becomes the echo of your conscious-state, the order you maintain within. Practice is simple: assume you are already this successful, happy, or healed being; revise by feeling it in your chest, and let the sense of presence do the work.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes, affirm 'I am the Word through which all is formed.' Dwell in the feeling that your wish is already real and let that certainty settle into your body.
