Biblical Context
John 1:10-13 reveals that the world is made by the divine within us and often does not recognize its origin. Those who receive Him by faith gain power to become the sons of God, born of God rather than by human lineage.
Neville's Inner Vision
John 1:10-13 invites you to see the world as a creation of your own consciousness, and to notice how the outer sense world often fails to recognize its source. The world’s rejection reflects habit of thinking you are apart from the divine. Yet to those who receive Him—those who believe in His name—power is granted: the power to become the sons of God. This birth is not from blood, nor of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God; in Neville's terms, it is the awakening of consciousness to its own divine nature. The inner birth is a shift in state: you are not a separate person surviving by chance, but a consciousness in which God is the governing principle of life. Your body, your relationships, your world appear patterned by this shift when you hold to it as real. Rejection becomes the old story your old self tells; reception is the inner revision of your sentence. Practice this by assuming the state: say I am the Son of God, feel its truth in your chest, and let your day unfold from that spiritual birth rather than from the old dream.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume the state of the Son of God now. Silently repeat, I am the Son of God, and feel the inner birth as a present fact, then let your day move from outer appearances to inner revelation.
