Dwelling Spirit Within Zion
Joel 3:17-18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Joel 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God dwells in Zion, making it holy. From that inner dwelling, abundance and renewal overflow.
Neville's Inner Vision
Joel's vision is not a geographical claim but a declaration of your inner state. Zion is the seat of awareness—the place within you where God, the I AM, dwells. When you acknowledge that presence, Jerusalem becomes holy in your experience and the intrusion of strangers—the tired thoughts of lack and fear—ceases to pass through your gates. The mountains dropping new wine and the hills flowing with milk are symbolic images of the transformed sensations and possibilities that arise when consciousness rests in this inner temple. The fountain issuing from the house of the LORD waters the valley of Shittim, meaning your inner landscape is nourished and cleansed by the sustained life-force of awareness. This is not an external promise to be waited for; it is an invitation to assume the feeling of complete dwelling, to revise any sense of separation, and to live from the consciousness that you are already inhabited by the divine presence. Let the feeling of I AM here be your default state, and notice how life reorganizes to match it.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Assume the state: I am dwelling in Zion. Feel the inner fountain begin to water every valley; stay with that sensation for a minute and let it be real in your body.
