Read Joel 2 in context

Scripture Focus

22Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.
Joel 2:22

Biblical Context

Be not afraid; the fields and trees promise renewed abundance within your inner life. Fear dissolves as your consciousness yields fruit.

Neville's Inner Vision

Joel 2:22 is not a weather report but a statement about the state of your mind. The beasts of the field are the restless thoughts that prowl within you; the wilderness is the barren feeling of lack when you forget your true nature. Yet the verse signals a shift in consciousness: when you rest in the I AM that you are, pastures spring and the fig tree and the vine yield their strength. The tree bearing fruit and the vines giving power symbolize inner faculties awakened—perception, trust, resilience, and joy—flowing forth as if by Providence because you no longer resist. Renewal arrives when you accept that consciousness creates form; the abundance you seek is the atmosphere you cultivate within. Stand firm in the assumption that you already inhabit a world of plenitude. In that steady posture, the images in your mind cease to be distant dreams and become the living environment you inhabit. You do not petition for rain; you awaken the rain by being the rain of your own awareness.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and declare, 'I am renewed; I am provided for.' Then visualize the wilderness inside you transforming into lush pasture, with the fig tree and the vine yielding fruit in your awareness; dwell there for a minute.
