Inner Return to God Now

Joel 2:12-14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Joel 2 in context

Scripture Focus

12Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:
13And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
14Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?
Joel 2:12-14

Biblical Context

Joel urges turning to the Lord with all your heart, not merely outward ritual. He promises mercy and blessing when you return.

Neville's Inner Vision

To Joel's exhortation, respond as the I AM within you. The call to turn with all your heart is a shift of consciousness, not a ritual outwardly performed. Fasting, weeping, and mourning are inner movements revealing the seriousness of your desire to wake from belief in separation. Rend your heart, not your garments, meaning release the old, rigid identity and align your awareness with the Lord your God. He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness—the image you hold of God is the reality you live. The line about knowing whether He will return and repent becomes an invitation to trust that a new state is instantly possible within you; when you shift, you leave a blessing behind—an inner meat offering and drink offering of gratitude, welcomed by your I AM. The good news is present transformation: you can turn now, and God returns in the form your awareness chooses, blessing your life from within.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and, within your awareness of the I AM, declare: I turn to you with my whole heart. Rend the old fear, and offer gratitude as inner meat and drink offerings, right now.
