Job 9:7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 9 in context

Scripture Focus

7Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars.
Job 9:7

Biblical Context

Job 9:7 speaks of a commanding power that orders the sun and seals the stars, illustrating that outward events reflect an inner decree.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your waking world is not at the mercy of chance but of the I AM within. When Job says the sun is commanded and the stars are sealed, he is naming the law by which consciousness operates: light and order arise from the decree of awareness. The sun rising and the stars being fixed are images for the states of your mind. If you accept that you are the governor of light, you will witness events move in accord with your inner decree. Do not seek power outside you; awaken to the fact that your awareness, your believing, is the agency that names the day. To interpret this as 'God out there' is to forget your own role as the I AM. So decree within: I am the command that causes light; I am the order that seals the stars. As you abide in that assumption, the day will dawn differently, and the cosmos will reflect your inner sovereignty.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume you are the decree. Say, 'I command the sun to rise in my life,' and feel the warmth as proof of your I AM sovereignty.
