Job 42:7-8 Inner Alignment

Job 42:7-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 42 in context

Scripture Focus

7And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.
8Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.
Job 42:7-8

Biblical Context

God corrects the friends for misrepresenting Him, commanding offerings and the intercession of Job, the true vessel of right talk about God.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed inwardly, God’s wrath is not punishment but a correction pointed at the misrepresentation of divinity by your thought. Eliphaz and the friends are voices within you that resist the truth about God; their failing speech invites the inner remedy: a radical alignment with right conception. The seven bullocks and seven rams symbolize a complete inner offering—an inner sacrifice that burns away worn beliefs and makes room for truth to reign. When it is said, ‘my servant Job shall pray for you,’ know that Job is your higher self, the state of consciousness that blesses rather than condemns. If Job prays—for you and through you—the I AM accepts that posture and meets you beyond the folly of old belief. So you turn not by struggle but by turning your imagination toward the reality you affirm. Intercession through your awakened self alters the inner weather, and, in time, the world you call reality will reflect that harmony. The essential act is to assume the feeling of being rightly related to God, here and now.

Practice This Now

Assume you are the I AM speaking rightly of God. For seven breaths or seven moments, offer a symbolic burn-off of a limiting belief, then imagine your higher self (Job) praying for you and through you, feeling acceptance flood your mind.
