Inner Blessings of Job 42:11-12

Job 42:11-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 42 in context

Scripture Focus

11Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.
12So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
Job 42:11-12

Biblical Context

Job's relatives and friends come to comfort him, and he is given money and gold. The LORD blesses the latter end of Job with greater wealth than the beginning.

Neville's Inner Vision

Consider this: the latter end being blessed points to the fact that your inner state governs the outpictured world. The friends, money, and gold are symbols—outer forms that follow an inner revision. The comfort of neighbors and the tokens of wealth are manifestations of an awakened sense of worth, not mere happenstance. When I realize that God is the I AM within, the mind becomes fertile ground where prosperity grows; I am surrounded by those who reflect my value, and provision pours in as a natural expression of my renewed awareness. The contrasts of hardship are the cognitive heat that burn away scarcity beliefs, leaving a greater abundance available now. Thus the blessing is not in the number of sheep or coins alone, but in the conversion of consciousness that makes such abundance natural and enduring.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled right now: you are surrounded by support and abundance. Revision: The latter end of my story is now my present experience, and I dwell in the warmth of that blessing for a few breaths.
