Leviathan of Pride: Inner Kingship

Job 41:33-34 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 41 in context

Scripture Focus

33Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear.
34He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.
Job 41:33-34

Biblical Context

Job 41:33-34 presents Leviathan as a unique, fearless ruler who sees everything, especially the high things. It portrays the ego's hold over pride as an inner governance to be understood and redirected.

Neville's Inner Vision

Leviathan here is not a monster to battle but the regal image of your consciousness in command. There is none on earth like the I AM when it stands sovereign, for fear has no place in the awareness that simply sees. The phrase 'he beholdeth all high things' points to the inner eye that surveys every exalted thought, yet remains untroubled by them. To be 'a king over all the children of pride' means you rule over prideful impulses not by denial but by identifying with the I AM who is constant, calm, and all-seeing. When you imagine yourself as that king, you stop chasing pride and begin observing it from a higher vantage—the throne of your true self. This is Providence in action: guidance flows as you rest in the feeling of I AM, allowing thoughts to pass without being dragged by them. Your inner kingdom is occupied by awareness, not by the drama of ego; from that occupancy, life rearranges itself with quiet, confident order.

Practice This Now

Assume the posture: I am the I AM, the king who rules over all pride. When pride surfaces, revise it by acknowledging it as a thought Leviathan and gently rest in your sovereign awareness until it quiets and you feel it real.
