Inner States Of Job 4:6
Job 4:6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Job 4 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse casts fear, confidence, hope, and uprightness as the inner compass of your life. It suggests your outer path mirrors the inner state you inhabit.
Neville's Inner Vision
Is this not thy fear, thy confidence, thy hope, and the uprightness of thy ways? Reflect that these are not outer accidents but inner states of consciousness you entertain. The I AM within you does not measure the world by fear or doubt; it measures it by the reality you presently choose to inhabit. When fear appears, you are simply momentarily imagining a future you do not wish; when confidence and hope rise, you are imagining a future that already exists in Spirit. Therefore, to alter the outer road you walk, revise the inner map. Assume the feeling that you are upright, secure, hopeful now, in spite of appearances. Anchor your awareness in that state and let it fill your day with images, tones, and decisions consistent with that reality. As you persist, the waves of circumstance align to the inner fable you hold. The outer becomes the echo of the inner well; your life follows the state you dwell in.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare I AM the fearless, confident, hopeful, upright presence now. For five minutes dwell in that state and imagine a simple day unfolding from it.
