Biblical Context

The verse describes the lion's roar and teeth broken; the old lion perishes for lack of prey, and the stout cubs are scattered.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the lion as your mind’s power—the roar and the teeth are outward signs of inner vitality. The verse shows these outward signs falter when the nourishment of consciousness dries up. The old lion perishes for lack of prey because you have forgotten to feed the I AM with imagination, believing life depends on external conditions. But the truth remains: power is a state of consciousness, and your present state fashions your appearing world. When you revise from fear to faith, you become the nourisher of your life. Take the bold assumption: I am the strength of the lion, fed by awareness. Feel it real until the sensation of power rests in you regardless of outward events. As you inhabit that state, the old roar quiets, the whelps scatter, and your inner vitality stabilizes, not by fighting circumstance, but by returning your attention to the source within you—the I AM that cannot be diminished.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the state of I AM now, feeding your inner lion with the image of awareness nourishing strength. Repeat 'I am the power of consciousness' until it feels real.
