Biblical Context
Job 39:19-22 describes a horse whose strength and fearless nature lead it toward battle, unmoved by fear or threats. It points to an inner power that remains constant, regardless of outward danger.
Neville's Inner Vision
Ask yourself: is the horse's strength not an image of your own I AM, your living awareness? The neck clothed with thunder becomes the intense energy you clothe around a scene by simply knowing you exist as consciousness. Can you make fear vanish as easily as shrinking a grasshopper? You can, by recognizing fear as a belief within you that can be revised by the present awareness of being. The horse paweth in the valley, rejoicing in its strength, moving toward the armed men—this is your mind moving toward challenges with certainty. It mocks fear, not affrighted; it does not turn from the sword, because the sword is but a symbol of assertion, not an external force. When you inhabit the decision that you are the I AM, fear loses its power and your inner horse strides forward, meeting every opposition with calm certainty. Imagination is the instrument by which you bring that reality into form.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and breathe into the I AM. Assume the stance of the horse—strong, unafraid—and feel the inner energy as you step forward to meet challenges with the fearless stride of the stallion.
