Biblical Context
Job 39:13-18 uses birds to critique pride and the absence of true discernment. It shows that outward power and neglect of inner nurture yield a life bereft of wisdom.
Neville's Inner Vision
Viewed through the Neville lens, Job 39:13-18 is not a nature lesson about birds but a map of inner states. The peacock's wings and the ostrich's neglect symbolize outward prowess and a mind without true discernment. When the self lifts high in pride and scorns its own guard rails—what you call the horse and rider of circumstance—you reveal a lack of wisdom because your awareness has forgotten its own ruling principle. God hath deprived her of wisdom; yet the same I AM in you can be reawakened by an intentional assumption. The eggs lie in dust only so long as you believe you are separate from the life that hatches them; but when you rest your attention in the I AM, you warm what matters and fear dissolves. The world you observe is simply the dream of your inner state; by choosing a wiser self, you revise that dream and find the discernment you sought, right where you are.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, assume I AM is the wiser presence within you guarding and warming every inner egg. Stay with that feeling until it becomes your reality.
