Inner Power of Job 37:23

Job 37:23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 37 in context

Scripture Focus

23Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.
Job 37:23

Biblical Context

The verse says the Almighty is beyond full comprehension, yet He is powerful, just, and generous in justice, and He will not afflict.

Neville's Inner Vision

On the level of consciousness, 'touching the Almighty' means identifying with the I AM—the one awareness that makes all things possible. The 'Almighty' is not a distant person to chase; He is the state of power and right order you can enter now. When you acknowledge that He is 'excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice,' you admit that all appearances of deficiency arise from misidentification, not from a real lack in the field of being. In Neville's terms, your inner world governs your outer scene through the law of imagination. If you insist that your life is ruled by a benevolent, impeccably just I AM, you will experience protection and restraint from affliction, because you are dwelling in the very principle that judges and sustains you. The moment you assume the feeling of being touched by this Presence, external 'facts' reverse into evidence of your inner peace: power that blesses; justice that restrains error; mercy that heals.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes, settle into the I AM as your constant state, and declare silently, 'I am the power and justice of God; I am not afflicted.' Then dwell there for a few breaths, feeling the reality of that state.
