Scripture Focus

11Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:

Job 37:11-12

Biblical Context

Job 37:11-12 portrays God guiding the clouds by watering and counsels, so they perform his commands on earth.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within this vision, the clouds of life are not distant weather but the states of your own mind. When I water the thick cloud with a steady, confident assumption, I weary its heaviness and invite a clear perception to take its place. The bright cloud is not something to be fought; it is the illumination of awareness scattering error and revealing truth that already dwells within. The turning about by his counsels is the inward, disciplined movement of imagination guided by the I AM. Those inner counsels move the clouds just as wind moves vapor, so that they do whatever I command in my world. The outer events are the visible form of the inner law at work; the weather I cultivate inwardly becomes the weather I experience outwardly. Therefore the key is not to struggle with appearances but to refine the inner weather—assume, revise, feel it real—and trust the inner laws that turn every cloud toward the fulfillment of my deepest intention.

Practice This Now

Identify a present issue as a thick cloud; water it with a steady assumption that I AM has already resolved it. Feel the inner counsels turning the cloud and directing its path to the intended outcome.
